Born in Nepal in 1961, is a civil engineer registered in Nepal Engineering Council and has a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Roorkee, India in 1989 and a Master's Degree in Hydraulic Engineering from International Institute for Hydraulic Infrastructure and Environmental Engineering (IHE), Delft, The Netherlands in 2002. He has obtained training in the area of Irrigation Scheme Planning and Design, Participatory Management, On Farm Water Management and Monitoring and Evaluation of Irrigation Projects. He has an overall experience of around 20 years in the profession. He started his carrier as an Irrigation Engineer in the Department of Irrigation since 1990 and worked in various District Irrigation Offices both in the Terai and Hills. During this period he successfully settled diversified issues/challenges related to irrigation development projects in Nepal. Since 2004, he is doing research on sediment transport aspect in canal design and presently, is involved in Sikta Irrigation Project as Construction Management Engineer. He is a member of Nepal Engineer`s Association. He has visited India, the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, UK, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxemburg.
