CMS is frequently called on by the ministries and departments of the Government of Nepal for its professional services. CMS has provided its professional services to wide range national institutions that include National Planning Commission, Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation, Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Irrigation, Department of Road, Department of Agriculture, Department of Water Supply Sanitation, Electricity Development Center, Nepal Electricity Authority and Water and Energy Commission Secretariat.

CMS maintains a good strength of full time professional staff as the permanent or regular employees who are experts in various disciplines. Currently, CMS has 24 full time professional staff including the promoters/ directors. It has 15 support staff on its permanent pay roll.
CMS has 100 plus associated individual professionals in the area of water resources, engineering, agriculture and marketing, economics, alternative energy, institutional development, sociology and gender analysis, and community and rural development. Their services are commissioned for short and long term assignments. These professionals work together as and when necessary for producing the high quality services that ensures attainment of the assignment objectives in the most efficient and credible manner.
CMS head office is located in the heart of Kathmandu, next to the GoN administrative centre, Singha Durbar. Kathmandu's international airport is only 4.6 km (10 minutes ride) away. The office has been housed in a modern building with an office of around 400 sq. m. CMS facilities also include a well-stocked library having 5,000 plus documents in the area of Natural Resources (Water Resources, Drinking Water, Irrigation, Forestry, Resource Conservation), Energy (Hydropower, Biogas, Solar),Institution and Human Resource Development. The Library is developed for CMS Professionals and Consultants.
CMS is well equipped with the office facilities required for effective and efficient management of any consulting assignment. It possesses sufficient number of desktop and laptop computers, laser and ink jet printers, photocopiers, 4WD Jeeps, motorcycles, generators, survey equipments, etc.
CMS collaborates with international consulting companies in assuming its responsibilities. Some of such companies that CMS has completed its assignment with are New Zealand based Royds Consulting Ltd., MWH Ltd., Maunsell Ltd and ANZDEC; UK based Sir William Halcrow and Partners and HR Walingford; Japan based CKC, Oriental Consultants and Nippon Koei, USA based Academy for Educational Development, Associates in Rural Development, Camp Dresser and Development Alternative Inc.; the Netherlands based DHV Consultants BV; Sri Lanka based IWMI and Republic of Korea based Rural Development Corporation. CMS maintains a core team of professional staff as the permanent or regular employee.
CMS has access to a large networking of national processionals with long experience in non-governmental as well as governmental business. CMS provided support to develop partner institutions that include Nepal Engineering College (NEC), the first private sector academic institution in Nepal, Farmer Managed Irrigation Systems (FMIS) Promotion Trust, and Jalsrot Vikash Sanstha (JVS - Association of Water Resources Development). It is a member of Global Water Partnership, Stockholm, as well as Nepal Water Partnership, which is hosted by JVS. Senior professionals of CMS actively participate in the networking activities of these institutions that pool together the intelligence and experience of private, academic, non-governmental and community sectors, and thereby enviably contribute in the quality and efficiency of each other's work. On the basis of networking, CMS undertakes a Young Professional Development Program.
